The women of the Szardos family have always been both performers and sorceresses, and Amanda is no different. Trained from a young age by her mother, Margali Szardos, she is well trained in acrobatics and the Winding Way. The Winding Way grants mystic power, but this power ebbs and flows with the seasons.
While the circus was in Wales, Amanda befriended a teenage girl by the name of Megan Gwynn, intending to use her to create a Soulsword. The physical manifestation of a person's soul, it is the most powerful magical object a person can create. The more pure a soul is, the more powerful the sword is, which is why Amanda sought out Megan Gwynn. In the end, however, Amanda couldn't go through with it - after seeing how the creation of a bloodstone and the first step in the creation of the Soulsword affected Megan, Amanda couldn't go through with the rest of it. Hiding the bloodstone and letting Megan keep the Soul Dagger that was created, the circus soon left town, with Amanda soon following it.
Recently Amanda's mother discovered exactly what her daughter has been up to, and she's not particularly happy.

A budding sorceress following the path of the Winding Way, whose power waxes and wanes over time, she is able to summon such powers as teleportation, illusions casting, shape changing, mystical force bolts, hypnotism, and the manipulation of other magical forces.
