Real Name:  Daniel (Dan) Jonothan Krieger.

First Appearance:  August 2008.

Age:  20. 

Relatives:  John Krieger (father), Elizabeth Krieger (mother).

Hometown:  Charleston, South Carolina, United States of America.

Education:  High school drop-out, but later earned his G.E.D.

Occupation:  Working the late shift at Blockbuster. It's the longest he has ever held a position.

Sexuality:  Heterosexual.

Relationship status:  Single.  Ladies, he's looking at you.

Past relationships:  No one in their right mind would date Dan.

• Broadcasting/receiving radio signals-- Basically, anything that travels along radio waves, Dan can receive in his head. This includes radio broadcasts, certain television broadcasts, mobile phones and wireless devices among other things. He doesn't have the greatest control over this, so broadcasts tend to enter his head at random moments. If the material is coded (such as computer talk), he can't decode it and it just sounds like a bunch of fuzz. He also possesses the ability to transmit along this wavelength, but so far all he has managed his having his voice heard on a cell phone across his room.

• Detecting biological/electrical energy fields-- He can feel electricity and energy given off by living things. This is more annoying than it is helpful since he has yet learned how to turn it off on will.

• Scrambling active frequencies -- You know those signals he can receive? Well, he can purposefully scramble them and cause them not to work (i.e. fuck up the hotel's wireless). He thankfully has most of this under control, but occasionally televisions/radios/cell phones/wi-fi devices act up around him. Sometimes he just does it to be a dick too.

• Projecting destructive energy-- Dan is able to take electromagnetic energy, channel it through his hands and send out energy blasts to destroy shit. Well, that is what he can do in theory, but he is no where near as powerful as he is in canon, so there will be no blowing up cars for him. He has managed to blow up a chair though! That's kind of neat.

To put it bluntly, Dan is an asshole. He says what he wants, when he wants. Has a crude sense of humor and some would say it even borders onto sexual harassment. Yes, Dan is the guy in the office who tells inappropriate dirty jokes. He does enjoy a good joke, especially at the expense of others and if they get a bit hurt, it's even better! His tact filter is non-existent and he doesn't see a need to change that. Well, he bites his tongue at work because he needs the monies, but that is about it.

He is extremely proud and confident. Most would call him cocky. However, he doesn't believe this and just says he knows he is the best. He thinks his mutation is the best. Everyone else has lame mutations compared to his. He also likes to hold grudges. In fact, he never lets them go. Probably still wants to beat up the kindergarten bully.

Dan hates weakness. However, his definition of weakness might be different from others. This mainly applies to men. Girls can be kind of wussy, but guys can't. They have to take everything like a man. Like how he takes it!

Not surprisingly, doesn't care about many people and he won't pretend that he does. Everyone else can rot in hell for all he cares. To the people Dan actually does friend, he's loyal. Like a dog. To everyone else, he will manipulate you for all it's worth to get what he wants. Yes, he is that guy that sweet talks the women into bed and then never calls.

Dan can be a bit reckless at times. He doesn't always think before his actions, nor does he think about downing yet another beer. He may not also think about how his actions effect other people, nor how they with effect him. Sometimes, he has to be reminded that things aren't a good idea and that violence isn't always the answer.

So. Daniel Jonothan Krieger was born to John and Elizabeth Krieger of Charleston, South Carolina... and that was pretty much it. No really. There was nothing exciting going on in Charleston.

His life was rather average until he was about fourteen at which time his eyes began to turn jaundice and his temperature began to spike. Obviously worried, his parents took him to doctor after doctor and than ran test after test to see what was wrong with him, but they found nothing. Other than the yellow eyes and high temperature, Dan was a perfectly normal and healthy young man according to the myriad of medical tests. The doctors assured them that he was fine and that there was nothing more they could do before sending him home, though they did tell his parents to call if anything changed.

Well, four months later something did change.

It started out when Dan began to, for a lack of better words, feel the things around him. He could feel the energy coming off the people around him and soon after that, it was the electrical appliers and outlets in buildings. Next, radios and cell phones began to malfunction when he was around and eventually, the wireless in his house stopped working. His parents could not explain it and since mutants were not in the news, it didn't dawn on them that their son could have been the cause of it all. Hell, they even got to the point where they thought the house was haunted and had a priest over to bless it.

It wasn't long before he started hearing Top 40 radio in his head and that seemed to be the last straw. No matter how hard he tried, it just wouldn't stop and Dan became increasingly frustrated with it all. Knowing he couldn't tell his parents what was going on, he chose to keep it to himself and failed at pretending everything was all right. He was unable to concentrate in school and eventually began acting out, finally getting himself expelled by the end of his junior year. His parents were beside themselves over what had happened to their sweet son, who had now become irritable and at times, rather violent. Once again, they shuffled him from doctor to doctor, therapist to therapist until finally the committed him to a behavioral treatment facility after he threatened a neurologist doing a CAT scan on him.

The treatment facility was actually a nice break for Dan since it was away from the city, thus away from many of the things that were driving him nuts. While it didn't completely alleviate them, it certainly made it a bit more manageable and he was able to settle down a bit. Somewhat. Kind of. When he felt like it! A month after he arrived at the facility, his hands began to literally spark. It took all his concentration not to let that happen while anyone was around, but at night he played around with this power by target practicing on drink containers from the cafeteria. While he didn't become very powerful, he eventually gained enough control over that aspect of his power.

Blah, blah, blah he was at the facility no longer than six months since once he turned eighteen and charmed some doctors, they had no choice but to release him back into the wild. Rather than go home, he started heading west with no real plans for anything. He gradually made his way across the country, working odd jobs and getting fired from all of them. Eventually, he made his way to Santa Monica and found his way to the local Blockbuster, which was were someone found him...
